HELPING MEET THE NEEDS OF LOCAL PEOPLE IN CRISIS
Walk INN Food bank is an Independently run Food bank by Belfast And Lisburn Community Project, we have no affiliation or support from Belfast City Council and Lisburn And Castlereagh Council. our Charity Food bank is here to help the homeless, individuals and families in crisis by providing free emergency food as well as support until the appropriate agencies are in a position to assist.
Non perishable food for food bank are bought with the Charity funds from the supermarkets, our food bank drop off location in Lisburn Golf Club run by “Colin Reid” and donation from the public are “banked” in a our store. Food is then given to people in crisis as a result of referrals from registered care professionals, such as, Citizens Advice Bureau .
For referrals, the family or individual must be refer to us for assessment. We do not hand over food parcels or hygiene products to other organisation or people on behalf of anyone… the Individual in need must be assess by one of our staffs to make it fair for everyone in need our community.
